New Canada Dental Benefit
The Canada Dental Benefit was implemented on October 1, 2022. It is intended to help with dental costs for families with children.
It subsidizes families earning less than $90,000 per year. Parents and guardians can apply if their child is under 12 years old and does not have access to a private dental insurance plan.

Your Child's First Visit to The Dentist
The first visit by a young child need not be stressful.
We believe healthy dental care for kids begins with education. We make sure children are comfortable with us before we begin.
You can expect them to enjoy the dental chair, get instructions on how to brush teeth properly, and count their teeth.
Diagnosing and treating dental needs early helps to avoid pain and makes your child’s experience a positive one. We also have the option of laughing gas for children who are especially nervous. It helps reduce anxiety and sensation during their dental procedure.
Your child can gain a confidence that will serve them well for the rest of their lives.
Why Start Early?
Think of your child’s first visit as a chance to test the waters. Kids tend to have a more positive opinion of their dentist if they visit early.
Early dental check-ups also make it easier to build a good rapport with your child to lay a foundation of trust and comfort for future visits.
We love being kids’ dentists. We teach them about oral health and help them build good habits. We want them to keep their teeth for a lifetime!
When To Start?
By age three, regular check-ups are required every 6 to 12 months so we can examine your child’s dental health, how the teeth are erupting, oral hygiene, diet, and growth patterns. Bring your child for their first check-up even earlier if you notice any signs of decay or are not sure if their teeth are growing properly.
Benefits of Early Dental Care
To articulate sounds properly, tooth alignment is important. Primary teeth are placeholders and guides for permanent teeth. Early care will identify potential problems and easier treatment solutions.
To do well in school your child needs to be rested and pain-free. Eliminating tooth pain can help them get a good sleep.
Kindergarten is a social event. A healthy smile contributes to self-confidence in those all-important early social interactions.
Growing children need to eat well. They need healthy, strong teeth to chew foods properly.
Our dentists will help educate your child on the importance of taking care of their teeth: brushing daily, limiting unhealthy snacks, and helping them understand the benefits of oral hygiene.
What About Teenagers?
Tweens and teens have unique dental health challenges because of their rapid growth from childhood to adulthood.
Good habits laid early in childhood will help your teenager through the transition.
Why Choose a Family Dentist?
By choosing one family dentist, you can have all your dental records organized in one place. This helps to detect family predispositions to certain dental problems.
Our family dentists perform dental services for patients of all ages – from toddlers to teenagers to seniors.
