Common Dental Emergencies
Emergencies can happen anytime, from a chipped or broken tooth, to knocked out teeth due to accidents.
Chipped or Broken Tooth- A broken or chipped tooth in most cases can be saved. If it’s a small tooth break, our dentists will use a white filling to fix the tooth. If it is more serious, we might recommend a dental crown.
Knocked-Out Tooth – If your tooth has been knocked out, there is a chance we can replant it. Act quickly to place the tooth back in its socket if possible. If you are unable to do that, do NOT rinse the tooth with water or anything else; simply place it in some milk and call us immediately.
Toothache or Gum Pain If you are suffering from an intense toothache or gum pain, you can take over-the-counter pain medicine to reduce the pain temporarily. Holding an ice pack against the spot of the sore tooth can also provide relief.
